Recruitment of Medical Officer, Nurse & Security Officer in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Thiruvananthapuram
IISER Thiruvanathapuram (IISER TVM) has invited applications from eligible interested Indian nationals for appointment to the post of Medical Officer, Security Officer and Nurse according following details:
Medical Officer
- Number of Vacancies: 01 (Unreserved)
- Pay Scale:
- Rs 15600-39100 (PB-3) with Grade Pay 5400/- with non-practicing allowance as applicable to PB-3 as per Government norms.
Higher pay may be considered for serving candidates or Ex-Medical Officers of Defense Services with more experience and/or in higher scale in Government organizations. - Salary for contractual appointment: Rs 45000/-(consolidated) per month with annual increase equivalent to increment and dearness allowance of the regular pay scale.

- Educational Qualification & Experience: Candidate must have completed MBBS degree with 5 years experience in a hospital/ dispensary after mandatory post MBBS internship etc.

- For Direct recruitment: Below 35 years;
- Deputation or Contract: Preferably below 45 years
Security Officer
- Number of Vacancies: 01 post (unreserved)
- Pay Scale:
- Rs 15600-39100 (PB-3) with Grade Pay 5400/-. Higher pay may be considered for serving candidates or Ex-CPMF/ Defense Officers with more experience and/or in higher scale in Government organizations.
- Salary for contractual appointment: Rs 40000/-(consolidated) per month with annual increase equivalent to increment and dearness allowance of the regular pay scale.
- Educational Qualification:
- Serving or retired Officers of State Police Department / Defense services/Central Paramilitary Forces with 5 years experience at the level of Rs 9300-34800 (PB-2) + Grade Pay of Rs. 4800 or equivalent. Should have sound health and active habits and should be able to ride motor cycle.
- Desirable:
- Familiarity with modern electronic security and surveillance systems.
- Ability to handle fire arms.
- Training in fire fighting works.
- Conversant with security rules and procedures to deal with police and public.
- Age Limit:
- For Deputation: Below 45 years;
- For Contract Tenure: Preferably below 55 years
Nurse (Post Code – 18)
- Number of Vacancies: 02 (Unreserved)
- Pay Scale:
- Rs. 9300-34800 (PB-2) + Grade Pay Rs.4200 Higher pay may be considered for serving candidates or Ex-CPMF Defense Officers with more experience and/or in higher scale in Government organizations.
- Salary for contractual appointment – Rs 25,000-(consolidated) per month with annual increase equivalent to increment and dearness allowance of the regular pay scale.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution; 3 years post qualification experience in a hospital or dispensary.
- Age Limit:
- For Deputation: Below 45 years;
- For Contract Tenure: Preferably below 55 years
Application Fee: A demand draft of Rs. 200/- for post code 16 and 17 and Rs. 100/- for post code 18 draw in favour of IISER-TVM and payable at Thiruvananthapuram. No application fee is payable for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
